The penultimate round of the 2024 Australian Speedway Championship will be held at Olympic Park Speedway, Mildura on Thursday, January 11.

Riders will be put through their paces over 360 metres of decomposed granite as they try to set themselves up into a good position heading into the final round at Gillman.

The race meeting will be run over 20 heats of four laps each, with the top eight riders progressing to the two semi-finals. The format is as follows:

  • Riders who finish the 20 heats in 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th on points will compete in the 1st semi-final; and
  • Riders who finish the 20 heats in 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th on points will compete in the 2nd semi-final.

Those finishing 1st and 2nd in each semi-final earn the right to compete in the final, with riders putting it all on the table in a bid to claim round honours.

Entry gates open at 4:30pm with motorcycles to roll out on track for practice at 6:30pm before racing gets underway at 7:30pm.

Spectators are in for a treat with the opportunity to get up close to the behind-the-scenes action, with the chance to see the motorcycles and riders during the pitlane walk between 5:00-6:00pm. You may even be lucky enough to grab an autograph from your favourite rider!

With local riders Jaimon Lidsey and Justin Sedgmen already confirmed to race against the best in the country, more information can be found via Mildura Motorcycle Club for this one-night show or if you can’t make it, check out the live stream here!
