The Queensland coastal town of Bowen will host the 2025 Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship, with the event to be held on the Easter weekend (April 19-20).

The championship will be promoted by the North Queensland Speedway Riders and Supporters Club, on a track that was revived in 2019 and has since hosted a multitude of club- and state-based events.

The Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship last visited Queensland in 2019, when it was held at Pioneer Park near Ayr.

Bowen Speedway is further south and located within the town’s showground precinct. The history of the track dates back nearly 100 years when an all-powers motorcycle handicap race was first held.

Bowen is also an ideal location for an extended getaway: stunning beaches and just a short drive from the Whitsundays and its 74 islands.
