The 2027 Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship will be held in Gillman (SA) on April 24-25.
The ANZAC weekend event will cater for senior and junior riders, with the juniors making a welcome return to the national program at the recent 2026 Australian championship in Mildura. Gillman will be promoted by the Speedway Riders Association of SA.
The action in speedway sidecar has been nothing short of sensational over the last few years, including the last two Australian championships in Bowen and Mildura. Not only have fierce rivalries been renewed, but new champions have also been crowned in the shape of 2026 winners Tyler Moon and Adam Lovell.
The Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship has a decorated history, dating back to 1931 when Les Medlycott and Tich Jones won the inaugural event at the Melbourne Exhibition Speedway.
