The northern Victorian city of Mildura will host the 2026 Australian Speedway Sidecar Championships, which will be held on April 24-25.
The sidecar championships for both seniors and juniors will be promoted by the Mildura Motorcycle Club at its famed Olympic Park complex, which has been a speedway heartland since opening 78 years ago.
The Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship (seniors) last visited Mildura in 2023, with Mark Plaisted and Ben Pitt the victors.
“The Mildura Motorcycle Club is thrilled to once again be hosting the Australian Speedway Sidecar Championships, and we look forward to seeing the best teams in the nation going handlebar to handlebar at Olympic Park over the special Anzac Day weekend,” said club vice president, Ryan Sedgmen.
The qualifying meeting for the 2026 Australian Speedway Sidecar Championship (seniors) will be held on Friday, April 24, with the top teams from that meeting to join the seeded teams in the April 25 decider.
Mildura is a lively regional centre, nestled next to the mighty Murray River and with myriad tourist attractions. The autumn weather is also superb in northern Victoria.
