Heading to Ipswich Switches in Willowbank, Queensland on January 19th 2019, the Australian Under 21’s 500cc Speedway Championship will prove to fans nationally and internationally just how skilled our junior riders truly are.

The Australian Under 21’s Speedway Championship is the final step riders must make for their chance to represent Australia on the international stage at the FIM Team Speedway Under 21 World Championship. Australia will head to Vetlanda, Sweden for the Semi Finals, and if they remain a dominant force, will then head to Manchester, United Kingdom for the Finals!

Of the nominated riders, 16 have been drawn to compete in the 2019 Australian Championship, with two reserves also selected. If the Northern Summer heat wasn’t enough to challenge these riders, the line-up for the 2019 draw will be enough to kick-start all competitors to up the ante in order to grasp the gold.

Of the drawn Under 21 500cc riders, fans will be treated to a star-studded night with the likes of fan favourite and reigning Champion, Jaimon Lidsey! Alongside Lidsey are names including Matthew “Happy” Gilmore, Kye Thomson, Cooper Riordan and Jordan Stewart! Lidsey will no doubt be using the 2019 Championship to further cement his name in the Championship’s history.

The riders drawn for the Australia Under 21 500cc Speedway Championship are as follows:
